HSM is Hiring a Maintenance Mechanic III- 1st Shift Near High Point, NC
- Perform general electrical, mechanical, and plumbing maintenance at the plant
- Install plant-related conduits, wires, relays, pull boxes, switch boards and switches required in making additions, extensions or alterations in electrical systems
- Inspect, diagnose and perform major and minor repair work on motors, pumps, boilers, hydraulic equipment, generators, compressors, gear boxes and other plant equipment,
- Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs CNC machines in a timely manner to limit machine downtime
- Uses required analytical instruments to test, adjust, repair, and replace fuses, resistors, switches, and other electrical parts. Works from both mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Responsible for testing new, modified, or repaired equipment prior to turning over to production. Assures that installations and repairs are consistent with standards established by the Maintenance Supervisor
- Fabricate and modify parts and equipment as required
- Use diagnostic equipment, including PLCs, to troubleshoot, analyze and predict upcoming failures
- Dismantle machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas
- Oversee or perform general housekeeping, as well as upgrade production lines with new/upgraded equipment/technology
- Determine corrective action to machinery based on observation of machinery and discussion with appropriate personnel.
- Perform scheduled Preventive maintenance task on plant equipment.
- Operate forklift and scissor lift as needed
- Utilize standard practices, materials, tools, equipment and test equipment used in the mechanical, plumbing, electrical and instrumentation repair of major and minor plant and related facilities system equipment
- Must have 8-10 years of maintenance mechanic experience
- Work independently under limited supervision (self-management)
- Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics.
- Must be able to operate forklift and scissor lift.
- Must have industrial knowledge working with single and three phase electric circuits.
- Must be a self-starter with high decision making and problem solving skills in a production environment.
- Knowledge of Metal fabrication and welding
- Must be able to stand, bend at waist, stretch or reach, walk, and twist frequently.
- Must have the ability to lift or pull and apply up to 50lbs
- Must be able to work from heights.
- Must be able to perform other duties as needed
