Summary:

Our fast-paced manufacturing firm is seeking a Utility Person. This position will provide the successful candidate with the chance to apply their knowledge, learn new skills, and work as a team within a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate for this role has 6 months experience in the manufacturing sector, pays strong attention to detail, has excellent attendance and is committed to workplace safety. This is a 1st shift position, Monday- Thurs, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Listed below are the Qualifications and Requirements for the position. The rate of pay for this position is $15.50 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Obtain parts from point of use or warehouse
• Assemble seats using proper equipment according to specs
• Place assembled seats on conveyor line
• Material labeling/stenciling – Appropriately mark and label all pieces as required
• Record production notes – complete any necessary production paperwork
• Material Loading/Packaging – Package finished products in boxes or stack finished products on a flat/pallet as necessary
• Daily cleanliness task of area and tools – Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly workstation
• Maintain clean and neat work area
• Practice proper safety techniques
• Carry out prescribed preventative maintenance in accordance with schedules
• Follow all procedures and guidelines
• Must meet the requirements of the assigned cells
• Must be able to proficiently assemble or trim 1-6 products by the end of probation
• Material transportation - Transport all finished goods to shipping area
• Assistance with physical inventory inspection and measurement as required

Minimum Requirements:

• Formal education not required
• Minimum of 6 months of previous work experience in a manufacturing setting preferred, but not required for consideration

Qualifications/Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

• Basic reading and writing skills are necessary
• Basic math skills are necessary (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• This position requires the ability to compile information, analyze information, decision making, problem solving, planning and short term memory and long term memory
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Must be able to read yard stick or tape measure.
