Inside Sales Support

Job Summary
HTE Technologies a Tavoron company is seeking a motivated Inside Sales Support Representative to join our team, specializing in air compressor sales. In this role, you will be responsible for managing customer inquiries, providing product information, and processing orders within our system. You will work closely with the field sales team to understand the customers, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Essential functions

• Create and send timely quotations for customers.
• Provide light technical assistance and assist in product selection for customers.
• Use a high level of detail to enter and process sales orders from customers.
• Send timely order acknowledgements to customers.
• May create new part numbers, bills of materials, and work orders to satisfy customer
• kitting requirements.
• Create and maintain electronic files and records of materials, prices, inventories, and deliveries (ERP).
• Interact with suppliers via e-mail or phone for quotations, for follow up on purchases,
• and to confirm shipment status.
• Use vendor pricing data, special pricing agreements, and systems data to calculate
• costs, discount, and margins.
• Provide order status, shipping status, and tracking information to customers.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area.
• Other job duties as assigned by supervisor.

Competencies

• 2 years in a similar role or experience in a customer service role in a distribution environment
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Superior customer service skills
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple activities.
• Understanding of distribution processes.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, competitive, team-oriented environment.
• High degree of detail orientation and data accuracy.
• Ability to deal with challenging situations.

Required education and experience

• Associates degree in a related field is a plus
• Minimum of 5 years as a customer service representative with ERP experience in a distribution environment
• Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which knowledge skills and abilities have been achieved.
