Epsilon designs and builds custom modular electrical and mechanical units and is seeking a Structural/Civil Engineering Technologist whose primary duty will involve generating fabrication drawings for these custom steel units and communicating across a range of departments from Engineering to Fabricators and others. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Review and create engineering structural and sheet metal designs and drawings that meet customer specifications, ensuring designs meet the design intent and are within manufacturing abilities.Liaising with other designers on safe designs, fit, risk and structural integrityComply with design criteria and all applicable regulations.Assist and review designs from structural designers as required.Provide engineering support to Production and other departments as required.Collaborate closely with the internal design team members and Plant ManagerPrepare bills of material and cut sheets for purchasing assembly and construction of modules for manufacturing and assembly.Assist other designers as assigned.Able to travel domestically and internationally. ACCOUNTABILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES: Accountable for the quality of the design in terms of compliance with technical specifications, and regulatory/statutory requirementsAccountable for timely and effective support to the assembly floorComply with all departmental design practices and processesComply with Health & Safety policies and proceduresMaintain an excellent attendance & punctuality record EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Structural/Civil Engineering TechnologyProficient in Solid Works, AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft OfficeEmploy a friendly personality, respectful of co-workers and be able to work with individuals as part of a team.Able to multitask and work efficiently in a demanding environment.Motivated self-starter with high level of initiative and ability to work independently.Excellent problem solving, organizational and time management skills.Able to take direction and communicate with others.
