The Power Conversion Technology Laboratory within the Huawei’s Nuremberg Research Center is responsible for Advanced Digital Power Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design and Strategic Technology Planning, and plays an important role in the Huawei Digital Power business in the design and development of power converters and control systems for applications such as PV Solar & Battery Energy Storage Field, Data Centers, Electric Vehicle, and Embedded Power Supply.

AI Expert - Energy storage system (m/f/d)Your mission

• Lead the development of AI algorithms to simulate and predict the performance of energy storage systems, including accurate State-of-Charge (SoC) estimation, battery failure, safety warnings, and predictive maintenance.
• Apply and experiment with various AI techniques, such as machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and large foundational models, to develop the most effective models.
• Optimize and fine-tune AI models for efficient and accurate performance prediction and maintenance scheduling.

Your areas of expertise

• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Proven track record of successfully designing and delivering AI solutions that have positively impacted business operations and outcomes.
• Broad experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, partnering with teams to drive AI-enabled initiatives.
• High proficiency in AI programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning architectures, and natural language processing techniques.
• Broad experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model optimization techniques.
• Strong understanding of Big Data Technologies such as Cloud, SQL/NoSQL, Hadoop, and Spark.
• Fluent in written and spoken English (working language)
