The Manager, Cloud Engineering will oversee a team of engineers responsible for HUB’s hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure). Reporting to the Director, Cloud and Data Centers, this role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and standardizing HUB International’s multi-cloud infrastructure. In addition, the leader will be a key team member that will drive the cultural, technology, and delivery transformation of the IT organization.

Responsibilities:

Technology

• Oversee the implementation and support of high-quality cloud, platform, and infrastructure solutions that support HUB’s business strategy.
• Deploy cloud environments that run Windows or Linux operating systems.
• Define lifecycle of cloud infrastructure, evaluating new technologies, and implementing those that meet HUB’s needs.
• Coordinate cross-functional solution delivery with Security, Architecture, and Operations.

Reporting, Metrics, and Continuous Improvement

• Oversee continuous improvement of IT environments and processes.
• Implement and Manage cost controls and reporting in cloud environments.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures and processes.

Leadership

• Provide thought leadership around cloud capabilities.
• Capable of managing multiple assignments and priorities in a fast-paced, maturing IT organization.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors (teamwork, customer focus, continuous improvement, and innovation).

Qualifications:

• Cloud transformation and engineering experience – SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS, with AWS and Azure
• 8 years of information technology experience in roles of increasing complexity,
• 4 years of experience acting as technical lead, delivering on-time, on-budget enterprise projects.
• 3 years of experience managing cloud engineering teams.
• Strong interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), negotiation, and collaboration skills incorporating the ability to effectively work with all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated high-level analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify issues and risks and work with Hub International stakeholders for resolution.
• Experience to Cloud cost optimization and management.
• 2 years of experience with ITIL and Agile standards and concepts (preferably in ServiceNow).
• Knowledge of scripting and automation (PowerShell, VBScript, Python, AWS Cloudformation)

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
