A Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for expanding and maintaining an assigned book of commercial business. With a strong focus on building client relationships, this position ensures clients have the proper coverages, price points as well as recommendations for additional coverage(s) to best insure their business. This professional is charismatic, with problem-solving and analytical skills to gather available information on the client to advise them appropriately. The Commercial Lines Account Manager works under the supervision of the Sr. Business Acquisition Manager.ResponsibilitiesCommunicate insurance products & services while recommending appropriate coverage(s) based on client's needsNegotiate coverage pricing and conditions for clients, adhering to underwriting authority and guidelines; this includes but is not limited to requesting coverage additions, changes, quotes, etc. Prepare insurance policies, endorsements, certificates of insurance, audits, and cancellations Responsible for the marketing/quoting process for both new business and account renewalsRecord all required data into the management system to maintain current file data on assigned accountsDevelop and present risk management assessments to advise clients on ways to minimize and avoid claimsRemain educated on all insurance coverage provisions, the overall insurance industry, regulations, etc. QualificationsP&C (Property and Casualty) Licensed CSR Minimum of 1-year insurance sales or customer service experience Experienced within an insurance agency is preferred with knowledge of all lines of commercial insurance coverages including (but not limited to): commercial property, general liability, workers compensation, umbrella, passenger accident, warehousing Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desiredSkillsExcellent oral and written communication skills Organizational and people skillsProblem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to generate ideas and think creatively; pioneer methods of outreachPositive work ethic and attitude Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously Proven skills with Microsoft Office products to include, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookExperience with Agency Management Systems, EPIC preferredIn-depth knowledge of insurance policies and coverage offerings along with their key differentiators preferredCharacteristics of a Simplex EmployeePassionateInnovativeOptimisticRelentlessHungryAssertiveStrategicCaringTrustworthyThe Simplex GroupSimplex Group is an organization dedicated to providing quality commercial transportation services to trucking companies and owner-operators alike.
