We are looking to hire a bilingual Human Resources Assistant to join our team. The Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for providing support for HR functions. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform key responsibility satisfactorily. This position is fully onsite, and the candidate must speak Chinese.
Key Responsibilities: The key responsibilities or duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position.
· Facilitate new employee on-boarding and completion of new hire paperwork.
· Assist HR Manager with recruitment effort for exempt and non-exempt positions by placing advertisements; sources and reviews resumes; and conducts references and background checks.
· Responsible for all HR Administration (i.e., employee records, organizational charts, employee directory, etc.)
· Responsible for benefit bill reconciliation and reporting
· Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment and postings.
· Maintains human resources and payroll information and compiles reports from database.
· Maintain HR information system and back-up to bi-weekly payroll via Paylocity.
· Assists in the planning and scheduling of HR events and activities.
· Complete special projects as assigned.
· Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements
Recommended Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience: or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the key responsibilities of the job.
· Bilingual in Chinese required.
· Bachelor’s degree preferred.
· Minimum 1-3 years Human Resources experience
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are imperative.
· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
· Proficient in MS Office Suite, Excel
· Payroll processing experience required. Paylocity experience preferred.
· Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
· Interacts with all levels of management professionally and discreetly.
· Understanding of and ability to interpret HR policies and procedures, including applicable Federal, State and Local laws.
