Job Overview

Customer Service Representative III ensures customer expectations are accurately determined and fully met. The Customer Service Representative III may be assigned to support specific customers or territories.

A Day In The Life

  • Manage customer inquiries via phone, email and Salesforce.com.
  • Review customer purchase orders for accuracy and requesting revisions, as necessary.
  • Order assignment or processing and review.
  • Documenting Salesforce.com and SAP as needed.
  • Notifying customers when there are issues or changes with their orders and working to resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Creating order workflows for pricing approvals.
  • Placing orders on hold and assigning reason codes.
  • Process and monitor PIA orders, including requesting proforma invoices and sending reminders to accounts where payments are delinquent.
  • Working with collections to resolve accounts with past due invoices to minimize new order delays.
  • Expediting orders for better ship dates as needed.
  • Building and maintaining customer relationships, de-escalating customer issues, and escalating to the proper person / department as needed.
  • Keeping clear up to date records and documentation.
  • Creating quotations.
  • Working with outside / inside sales team, and other departments within GAI-Tronics and other Hubbell brands.
  • Assisting customers with basic technical questions.
  • Running daily backlog reports and updating customers of delayed orders.
  • Process customer returns and credit requests.
  • Complete export documentation for export orders.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What will help you thrive in this role?

Education & Experience :

  • High school diploma or GED required / college degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years previous customer service experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or made to order business environment preferred.
  • International account / export compliance knowledge a plus.

Skills :

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills, SAP, Salesforce experience a plus.
  • Problem Solving and Prioritization.
  • Account / Project management.
  • Multi-Tasking.
