Position Title : Employee Relations Specialist

Location : Cary NC

Department : HumanResources

ReportsTo : Manager / Supervisor Title

JobOverview :

We are seeking adedicated and experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join ourHuman Resources team. The ideal candidate will be responsible formanaging employee relations matters ensuring a positive workenvironment and promoting a culture of fairness and consistency.

You will handle employee concerns conduct investigations andprovide guidance on HR policies and procedures.

KeyResponsibilities :

  • EmployeeRelations :
  • Serveas the main point of contact for employee relations issuesproviding guidance and support to employees andmanagers.
  • Conduct thorough and impartialinvestigations into employee complaints grievances and disciplinarymatters.
  • Develop and implement employeerelations strategies to promote a positive workenvironment.
  • Policyand ProcedureManagement :
  • Ensureconsistent application and adherence to company policies proceduresand employment laws.
  • Assist in the developmentand updating of HR policies andprocedures.
  • Educate employees and managers onHR policies procedures and bestpractices.
  • ConflictResolution :
  • Mediateand resolve conflicts between employees and between employees andmanagement.
  • Provide coaching and counseling toemployees and managers to address performance and behavioralissues.
  • Recommend and implement solutions toresolve workplace conflicts and improve employeerelations.
  • ComplianceandDocumentation :
  • Ensurecompliance with federal state and local employment laws andregulations.
  • Maintain accurate and confidentialrecords of employee relations cases andinvestigations.
  • Prepare and present reports onemployee relations trends issues and resolutions to seniormanagement.
  • TrainingandDevelopment :
  • Developand deliver training programs on employee relations conflictresolution and HR policies.
  • Provide guidanceand support to managers on performance management and employeedevelopment.
  • Assist in the design andimplementation of employee engagementinitiatives.
  • HRSupport :
  • Collaboratewith HR team members on various HR projects andinitiatives.
  • Support the recruitment andonboarding process by providing guidance on employee relationsmatters.
  • Participate in exit interviews andanalyze feedback to identify trends and areas forimprovement.
  • Qualifications :
  • Education :
  • Education :
  • Bachelorsdegree in Human Resources Business Administration Psychology or arelated field. Masters degree is aplus.
  • Experience :
  • Minimumof 35 years of experience in employee relations or a related HRrole.
  • Proven experience in conductinginvestigations and resolving employeeissues.
  • Knowledge of employment laws andregulations.
  • SkillsandAbilities :
  • Stronginterpersonal and communicationskills.
  • Excellent problemsolving and conflictresolution abilities.
  • Ability to handlesensitive and confidential information withdiscretion.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems andMicrosoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizationaland time management skills.
  • Ability to workindependently and as part of ateam.
  • Certifications(Preferred) :
  • Professionalin Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources(SPHR).
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRMCP) orSHRM Senior Certified Professional(SHRMSCP).

WorkingConditions :

  • Primarilyofficebased with occasional travel to other company locations orevents.
  • May require working extended hours toaddress urgent employee relations issues.
