EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for Networking & Cellular Software Developer in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position is located in our San Diego, CA office. Job Responsibilities: Perform software development in a Linux environment for networking and cellular related applications. Design, implement, and test new features and bug fixes for Hughes' router and cellular product line. Responsible for cellular management and data stack and integration with the kernel. Must be familiar with open-source development and standard practices. Prepare and maintain technical documentation including software designs and test plans. Analyze debug logs and site statistics to prepare feedback for customers. Assist in System Validation and Testing campaigns. Basic Requirements: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field plus 6 months’ experience in C/C OR Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field plus 5 years’ experience in C/C . Experience must include 6 months in each of the following: Python; Linux, Device Driver Development; Arduino, rapid prototyping; Raspberry Pi; RTOS; Firmware level development; Computer networks, TCP/IP; and Communication protocols (USB, UART, SPI, 12C).
