JOB SUMMARY
Lead the sourcing and transportation functions for the North American segment by developing and executing strategic initiatives to optimize our processes, enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products and services to our customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Description of Function
  • Develops short- and long-term supplier and transportation plans to support our 2030 strategy for the NA segment designed to achieve targeted growth rate, EBIT and cash flow while strengthening supplier and customer relationships.
  • A people leader and talent magnet in recruiting, developing and retaining procurement, sourcing, distribution and logistics development directly and operations and other functions indirectly. Develops the organization including succession and individual development plan and initiatives/efforts to increase the organizational effectiveness.
  • An important member of the Huhtamaki North America Leadership Team (NALT) together with other functional leaders. Collaborate with the Product Management, Innovation and Operations teams to help improve customer service, create optionality, reduce costs, improve efficiency, plan capital expansion, new technology introduction, and optimize working capital.
  • Be an important global leader amongst the Global Management Team (GMT) and global sourcing team, involved in the World Class Operations sourcing stream and other important initiatives related to the global 2030 strategy, including Sustainability and Digitalization.

Experience/Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree, >10 years of managerial experience, which involved the leadership of strategic/business planning processes, responsibility for team leadership and development and potentially P&L or other business results accountability.
  • Proven negotiation experience.
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and presentation.
  • MBA and international experience are helpful but not necessary.
