Main Job Duties Include:

• Responsible for setting up work area and obtaining appropriate parts and materials.
• Develop and perform preventative maintenance procedures and perform specified maintenance on machines and equipment.
• Assemble and install new equipment and machines.
• Modify existing equipment as required to reduce downtime and maximize effectiveness.
• Maintain physical integrity of interior and exterior of building.
• Request needed parts and supplies from Maintenance Manager with sufficient notice to allow for delivery.
• Provide technical support to kaizen projects and/or other problem-solving activities.
• Perform basic computer functions (i.e. input and update maintenance records).
• Maintain a clean and functioning work area per 5S standards.
• Perform related duties (including those in other areas of production) as assigned by supervisor.
• Follow all company safety guidelines including wearing the proper protective equipment for job assignment.
• Maintain compliance with all company guidelines and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Basic verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively read and follow process sheets and production documents.
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
• Ability to be certified in Class “A” forklift operation.
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting with working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and fabrication areas.
• Ability to understand written material and ability to write using correct spelling and punctuation; ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using fractions or decimals.
