The Company develops and manufactures acellular tissues to treat a wide range of diseases, injuries, and chronic conditions. Humacyte’s initial opportunity, a portfolio of Acellular Tissue Engineered Vessel (ATEVs), is currently in late-stage clinical trials targeting multiple vascular applications, including vascular trauma repair, AV access for hemodialysis, and peripheral arterial disease. Preclinical development is also underway in coronary artery bypass grafts, pediatric heart surgery, treatment of type 1 diabetes, and multiple novel cell and tissue applications. Humacyte’s 6mm ATEV for AV access in hemodialysis was the first product candidate to receive the FDA’s Regenerative Medicine Advanced Therapy (RMAT) designation and has also received FDA Fast Track designation. Humacyte’s 6mm ATEV for urgent arterial repair following extremity vascular trauma also has received an RMAT designation. JOB SUMMARY:The Facilities & Site Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring all site service vendors and contractors are efficiently managed. This position will:
  • Manage multiple vendor support contracts necessary to keep the facility clean and organized
  • Oversee cleaning for the sites cleanrooms and laboratories to ensure GMP compliance.
  • Manage inventory with optimum levels for uniforms, office supplies, break room supplies and waste management. Some project management knowledge in preferred to grow skills and manage future projects as operations expand.
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Director, Engineering and Facilities Operations, the Facilities and Site Manager will help with coordinating selected building improvement projects, work with vendors and ensure that the building and site is maintained correctly and within GMP requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Manage building service vendors responsible for breakroom services, vending services, catering services, housekeeping, exterior groundskeeping, office furniture, uniform services, safety supplies, pest control, and others.
  • Develop service level agreements with vendors in alignment with requirements of service processes and SOPs (when applicable) to assure compliance with regulations.
  • Ensure that the building remains clean and organized. Oversees the cleaning of the GMP cleanrooms and Laboratories and Administrative areas.
  • Conduct routine audits of vendor services across the facility to assure compliance with service level agreements, propose changes, review agreements, or replace vendors and contractors based on audit’s results.
  • Assist in development of key performance indicators and reports to demonstrate vendor effectiveness, value and identify underperformance.
  • Manage and develop current supplier relationships which support facilities and site operations, and potential new suppliers.
  • Responsible for the proper function of all conference room services at Humacyte
  • Coordinate catering orders for meetings and events.
  • Manage inventory levels for office and break room supplies and determine the need for stock replenishment and resource procurement.
  • Develop a process to manage office consumables and supply in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Maintain pre-defined levels of office supplies for all departments and new hires by proactively inventorying supplies and replenishing as needed.
  • Conduct and document routine audits to verify functionality of all conference rooms. Report any deficiencies to the appropriate vendor for resolution and/or repair.
  • Coordination of rental equipment, delivery and return for meetings and events.
  • Other Duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or GED, required. Associate or bachelor’s degree, preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in project management or administrative assistance.
  • Relevant 4 years of pharma or biotech industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint) and management software specifically Microsoft Project. Formal Certification in Microsoft Applications and Project Management skills preferred.
  • Experience creating vendor partnerships and managing such partnerships; including, but not limited to: EHS, Site Operations, food services, janitorial services, uniforms, pest control, landscaping, printers, and other vendors as required.
  • Experience with inventory management for offices, break rooms and printer/copier oversight, required.
  • Able to manage multiple vendors and contractors to ensure contractual services are being fulfilled.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Must have Superior Customer Service Skills.
  • Expertly manages vendors and internal customers with kindness, diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Displays a sense of urgency and empathy when working with others.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, such as printers and copiers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess a positive roll-up-the-sleeves attitude and optimistic outlook.
  • Strong ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with fluctuating priorities and demonstrated ability to collaborate within cross functional teams.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to set own priorities in a timely manner.
  • High degree of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Self-motivated and organized critical thinker with solid interpersonal and business communication skills.
  • Represents the organization in a positive and highly professional manner.
