Details:Job Title: Payroll Assistant (Part-Time)
Department: Payroll
Reports To: Payroll Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
DUTIES
Job Description:Support the Payroll Specialists with data entry tasks.
Process up to 600 time-off requests on a weekly basis within an extremely short period of time.
Assist with child support orders and garnishments.
Support completion of VOE and EDD payroll history requests.
Verify employee data within the payroll system for accuracy.
Distribute paychecks to various locations per schedule.
Enter data as required in relation to the new rollout of WFN eTime time tracking software.
Testing different aspects of eTime system.
Provide support to employees with eTime questions.
Undertake entry-level payroll processing tasks as directed by the Payroll Manager.
Create reports as needed to support payroll functions.
Requirements1 - 3 years Payroll experience.
Must be willing and available to work overtime and late evenings during payroll processing windows.
Must be very comfortable with high volume of data entry work, completed with efficiency and accuracy.
Garnishment experience.
Multistate a plus.
Excellent PC Skills including Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet Explorer, Adobe Acrobat, Dropbox.
Team player, well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong attention to detail.
Courteous and professional attitude with experience in dealing with the client base.
Excellent attendance/on time record.
Excellent follow-through and ability to complete tasks on short deadlines.
Must exhibit a positive attitude and the ability to work well within team and to work independently is essential.
