Responsibilities:Entering financial transactions into QuickBooks including but not limited to A/R, A/P deposits, journal entries, and reconciliations.Communicate with company partners and internal staff.Assist with the completion of HUD, Bank, Government, and grantor compliance reports.Follow up on outstanding payable and receivable items.Record maintenance and tracking.Pre-audit preparation.Budget, lease, and policies and procedure tracking.Assist with oversight of property management and asset management.Research inconstancies in data and reporting.Assist with the preparation of Board reports.Process property tax exemptions annually and as needed;Event cash management and cashiering, including post-event reconciliation;Review staff benefits and ensure the company is compliant with regulations.Support of the company's office systemsManage outside accounting firm, financials for non-profit affordable housing services, grant reporting and reports for board of directors.Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; maintains a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.Assists with the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.Requirements:5yr of QuickBooks experience.Bachelors Degree - CPA is not necessaryAffordable housing experience preferredGrant reporting experience helpfulDetail oriented.Work well in a fast pace environmentTime management skills.Microsoft office experience.Excellent written communication skills.Candidate should also have no less than 3 years of combined experience with accounting and compliance.Non-profit experience is a plus, and familiarity with related software is key.
