Title

Facilities Maintenance Operator

Status

Part Time (20 to 25 hours per week)

$12.00 / hour

Overview

The facilities maintenance operator is responsible for day-to-day general maintenance of the facility as well as special improvement and repair projects as needed at the discretion of the facilities manager or operations manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

• General maintenance and upkeep of property including fencing, filters, lighting, etc.
• Regular servicing of heating, cooling, and well systems
• Care of tools and equipment
• Assist in transportation for litter purchases, pick-ups at animal control, animal transportation to veterinary appointments
• Help with loading and unloading of adoption and special event equipment and animals
• Manage equipment and material needed for general maintenance and special projects, submitting purchase requests through the Director of Operations or the Executive Director

Qualifications

• General carpentry skills
• Electrical and / or plumbing experience a plus
• Excellent organization skills
• Self-directed
• Valid Driver's License
• High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for four or more hours
• Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance
