Humanitary Medical Center, INC is Hiring a Wellness Center Attendant Lakeland Near Lakeland, FL

Humanitary Medical Center is looking for an experienced and friendly Wellness Center Attendant that can work in a fast-paced environment. We are actively interviewing, and our team is waiting for the right candidate!

Job duties: The following duties are illustrative and not exhaustive.

  • Maintain safe and clean Wellness Center areas by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Assist staff in the Wellness Center with other activities or duties as needed, such as serving snacks in the morning and noon, crafts, table games, special orientation or classes, etc.
  • Follow all company, safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents, incidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to Office Manager
  • Treat our patients/members in a courteous, friendly and caring manner
  • Provide excellent customer/patient service
  • Ensure that privacy and confidential materials and conversations are always protected
  • Comforts patients; answers patients’ questions to the best of their ability
  • Establish and maintains effective relations, exhibits tact and consideration, offers assistance and support to coworkers, works cooperatively in group situations and works actively to resolve conflicts in a timely manner
  • Balances team and individual’s responsibilities, contributes to building a positive team spirit
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed
  • Understand urgent situations and report to Office Manager


Requirements:

  • Ability to be multitask and prioritize
  • Previous experience with elderly care helpful
  • Must have patience to deal and work with elderly and/or patients with disabilities
  • Ability to handle multiple patient’s requests, concerns and complaints at the same time.
  • Great interpersonal skills to deal with a variety of personalities
  • Work well under stressful conditions and treat patients with respect and dignity
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Outstanding grooming standards
  • Understanding of patients' rights and responsibilities
  • HIPAA awareness
  • Able to write, read and speak clearly
  • Must be able to communicate in Spanish
  • Ability to communicate in English recommended
  • Able to lift up-to 10 pounds, bend, often move objects and assist patients to move
  • Able to kneel, crouch or stoop if necessary
  • Capable to demonstrate empathy
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong decision-making and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work with limited supervision
  • Capable of managing difficult or emotional customer situations by responding promptly to members needs and requests
  • Must exhibit good active listening and comprehension skills
  • Ability to stand most of the time, or walk as needed
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear; and taste or smell

  • Work both inside in cool and dry/wet/hot conditions
  • Frequently required to use personal protective equipment
