Humboldt Park Health is Hiring a Wellness Center Reception Desk & Kids Club Manager Near Chicago, IL

Position Summary:
The Reception Desk & Kids Club Manager is responsible for providing leadership and supervision to the Reception Desk and Kids Club. This role ensures that both departments are delivering an exceptional member experience while providing the highest level of customer service to members, guests, and prospects of the facility. The Reception Desk & Kids Club Manager will oversee all scheduling, hiring and onboarding of staff to deliver services that meet Wellness Center and member needs. This role also ensures that everyone that enters the Wellness Center is greeted with a smile and exceptional customer service to create an inviting and welcoming atmosphere.
Primary Duties:
  • Greet, check-in, and assist members.
  • Be proficient in Wellness Center programs, events, trainings, classes, and facility policies.
  • Be familiar with membership pricing, membership, and guest policies.
  • Hire, onboard and train Reception Desk staff and Kids Club attendants.
  • Create and maintain policies and procedures for the Reception Desk.
  • Create and maintain policies and procedures for Kids Club.
  • Create and maintain schedules and staffing for both departments.
  • Ensure the Reception Desk is always clear of clutter and presents the best first impression of the Wellness Center.
  • Ensure that Kids Club is always clean and kept in good order.
  • Respond to and manage member satisfaction surveys.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for both departments.
  • Work at the Reception Desk and in Kid's Club as needed.
  • Represent Humboldt Park Health in a positive and professional manner.
Position Requirements:
  • At least two years supervisory experience, preferably in a customer service setting.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Exhibit sophisticated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate exceptional listening and customer service skills; be social, outgoing, and friendly.
  • Be an onsite leader who "leads by example" in professionalism, dress, demeanor, dedication, attention to member service, and employee care.
  • Maintain composure and act appropriately in moments when multiple unexpected challenges arise concurrently.
  • Possess a passion for fitness, health, athletics, and wellness. Enthusiastic, professional, and genuine demeanor.
  • Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • CPR and First Aid certification required.
  • Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
