ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for providing electrical design for our National Team’s high-tech, high-profile industrial projects like automotive assembly plants, mission critical data centers, battery plants, and process conveyor controls. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is required. This role interacts with various departments within the company as well as with other disciplines outside of the company. This role is based out of our Bloomington, MN headquarters with a hybrid work schedule of office/remote work.

  • Process customer’s engineered schematic and cabling riser drawings and create raceway layout drawings, cable pull schedules and termination schedules to be used in the field installation.
  • Collaborate with the Advanced Construction Planning (ACP) group to utilize customer’s engineered drawings and Hunt installation drawings to create fabrication drawings for use by the prefab shop and field.
  • Coordinate with Hunt field management and Hunt ACP group to ensure timely and accurate field layout and prefab drawings.
  • Create electrical drawings for construction within Revit and Bluebeam on a variety of projects under the direction of the Industrial Design Manager as well as Project Managers and General Foremen.
  • Create installation drawings from the 3D/BIM models.
  • Coordinate finished product with external customers and industry professionals.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) year degree in electrical construction, electrical design for construction
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn new ideas and concepts.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with Navisworks or EasyPower.
  • Experience working with Revit and Bluebeam.
  • 3D/BIM modeling experience using Revit.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers and fax machines.
  • Employees are frequently required to sit, and occasionally required to kneel, reach, stoop, crouch or crawl.
  • This position requires the ability to lift files, open file cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
  • This position may occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
