Hunt Electric, Inc. of Salt Lake City, UT is searching for a full-time Project Manager/Estimator to join our team within the Traffic & Infrastructure Division. Can you work in a team environment with other employees to assist in accounting related duties and coordinating projects? This position requires self-motivation and self-management of work with interpersonal skills to meet with users in a face-to-face environment. A strong background in underground utility, trench excavation, dry utility conduit systems, and utility vault placements is a must. Additionally, a thorough understanding of excavation equipment, support resources, safety requirements (OSHA), and means and methods is required. The ideal candidate for this position has additional experience in electrical and communication systems.

The Project Manager/Estimator will be responsible for the estimating, planning, initiating, and managing of information for various projects. This person will also serve as a liaison between business and technical aspects of projects and monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.

Major Duties:

• Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, to prepare estimates
• Prepare detailed estimates based on plans and specifications
• Prepare bid packages, estimates, and analysis of subcontractor proposals for projects of any size and complexity
• Manage projects awarded from budgeting, scheduling, resource management, cost projections, and billing
• Assist with the scheduling work and resources
• Assist with the Submittal of project deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards and project requirements
• Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates
• Monitor the performance of project team members, providing and documenting performance feedback.
• Confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems.

• Communicating with stakeholders outside of Hunt Electric
• Assess current or future customer needs and priorities through communicating directly with customers, conducting surveys, or other methods
• Schedule and facilitate meetings as required
• Monitor or track project milestones and deliverables
• Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Ability to problem solve, think critically, adapt to different situations. 
• Other duties or locations assigned by Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
• Ability to effectively present information to the organization and stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience performing administrative activities
• Experience with estimating construction projects
• General customer and personal service experience
• Experience with Microsoft Suite of Products; Word, Excel, Projects, & Sharepoint, etc.
• Experience with Bluebeam Revu
• Valid Driver's License.
• High School Diploma

WORK SCHEDULE

This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday- Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm, and Friday, 7:00 am - 2:00pm.
