Mechanical Design Engineer - Direct Hire

Open to new graduates with some internship experience

Responsibilities:

• Work primarily is involved with the development or improvement of actual products or designs.
• Creation of previously non-existent products or modification of existing products, including product line extensions.
• Selection and testing of materials, ingredients or components that will be suitable for the product.
• Work may include responding to a customer request for a particular product or design.
• Typical cycle includes conceptualizing, developing prototypes, testing and perfecting designs.
• Use established policies and procedures to complete assignments. Work is somewhat routine with detailed instructions. Job performed under close supervision.
• May be assigned to projects or well-defined tasks.

Experience:

• High school diploma or its equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• Knowledge of machine shop practices, techniques, operations
• Knowledge of engineering concepts and procedures
• Basic math, logical reasoning, and problem solving skills
• 0-2 years of experience

Standard office environment. Some work in well-lit machine shop with moderate noise. Staff members will need to do most work while sitting, but may be required to stand, climb, or crawl. Staff members will do seldom lifting.
