Hunter Recruitment Advisors is Hiring a Project Manager Near Randolph, NJ

We’re looking for a Project Manager to help with project coordination and daily operations.

Responsibilities: 
  • Bid, plan, and manage elevator modernization, new construction, and repair projects. 
  • Troubleshoot mechanics, perform quality reviews and hold progress review meetings with customers.
  • Create project schedules and track job progress. 
  • Prepare pay applications on standard HUD and AIA forms. 
  • Keep up-to-date records of work schedules, contracts, and equipment. 
  • Direct field supervisory responsibilities. 
  • Conduct site surveys of equipment for repair and modernization. 
  • Evaluate the elevator system to determine the modernization equipment required. 
  • Prepare project permits and coordinate the development of drawings and technical documents. 
  • Plans, directs, and prioritizes elevator modernization jobs, including manpower needs; utilizes project management software and other scheduling tools. 
  • Manages job sites from survey through completion of the modernization process, including documenting and advising on the progress of the modernization project. 
  • Develops and maintains strong working relationships with owner, elevator consultants, and architects 
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all federal, state, and local elevator industry code requirements. 
  • Makes weekly crew visits to manage safety, site activities, and employee progress. 
  • Mediates and resolves issues with equipment and customers. 
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent work experience. 
  • At least 4 years experience in a Project Management or Project Engineer role is preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of the elevator industry and general management methods within the elevator industry.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and electrical control schematics.
  • Strong technical foundation and experience in mechanical and electrical equipment. 
  • Experience with AutoCad is preferred. 
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Dropbox. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Must be a good problem solver, self-disciplined, and organized.
