Description
The ideal candidate demonstrates abilities to interact with administrator and parent concerns. They should exceed all qualifications necessary for a regular school bus driver.
Provide an atmosphere conducive to driver improvement. Train all new drivers and evaluates all new hires with the first six months of employment.
Assist in the development of an on-going driver training program, including motivating drivers in safe driving practices.
Plan and coordinate all pre-service and in-service safety meetings / programs for drivers and students. 12 months and 40 hours per week.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Class B, air brake, passenger, school bus endorsements.
- 3 years experience driving.
- Experience writing and presenting safety training programs.
- Traffic Safety and Driver Training courses a plus.
- Car seat technician preferred.
- Some College / management preferred.
- Defensive Driving Instructor preferred.
Rate
Salary to be commensurate with experience.
