Summary:
The Business Systems Analyst - Senior is an ISS Department position. This position is intended to serve as a career path option for highly skilled Business Analysts who do not have direct supervisory responsibility, but lead/participate in projects of a significant nature.
We're looking for a new teammate with a rare combination of skills. The Capstone Partners team needs a process-oriented, Business Analyst with the communication skills to interact with dynamic senior investment bankers and a hands-on management team.
This Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering vast swathes of data from sources throughout our company and turning that data into actionable intelligence for our marketing and investment banking teams. We use an industry standard CRM platform, a variety of analytics tools as well as the marketing platform, Hubspot, to deliver this information to our Management team.
This resource will take primary responsibility for the integrity of these data systems and reporting to our VP of Data Analytics and Director of Marketing. The job entails daily interaction with our Managing Director-level investment bankers and the senior Management team members.
These are busy professionals with demanding clients, so "managing upwards" is the path to success in this role. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Leads assigned projects and/or provides advanced technical and consultative support to other team members for assigned business unit or assigned application(s) that are typically more complex and of a larger impact to the company.
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of applications and stays current in technical enhancements, methodologies and trends related to the assigned application(s).
• Analyzes existing systems or procedures and identifies technical or procedural improvements.
• Recommends business practices to optimize use of application systems.
• Develops operational procedures for products, services and systems.
• Designs processes to meet regulatory requirements.
• Develops and generates special or Ad Hoc reports.
• Provides technical support to business unit, customers, management and other users.
• Serves as liaison between software vendors and business units, or between users and other corporate areas.
• As this is highly specialized, it is expected that the number of employees assigned to this position will be minimal.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• B.S. degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics or a related field
• 3 years of professional experience (including internships)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with any modern programming language and an understanding of key programming concepts
• Experience with a CRM system such as DealCloud or Salesforce
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing tools such as Hubspot
• Knowledge and experience with industry standard analytics tools such as Tableau
• Knowledge of Python, Javascript, and NoSQL scripting
• Experience with database management and SQL
• Experience interacting with API's
• Experience in financial services or investment banking
