Overview:
Huron Valley Steel Corporation operates a metals recycling plant and landfill in Anniston, AL.
We are seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in operating a variety of heavy equipment in a Landfill.
Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment including front loader trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, cranes, backhoes, and loaders
- Perform tasks such as digging trenches, compacting earth, and loading/unloading materials
- Follow safety protocols and ensure equipment maintenance
- Coordinate with construction crews to support project needs
- Adhere to project specifications and deadlines
Skills:
- Proficiency in heavy equipment operation
- Experience with front loader trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, cranes, backhoe operation, and loaders
- Ability to work effectively in a construction site environment
- Knowledge of Caterpillar equipment is a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
