Job Description
- Create and implement employee relations policies
- Devise a list of procedures and practices for hiring new employees
- Establish an orientation procedure for onboarding new hires and training them
- Communicate with employees about compensation, benefits, and other facets of their employment
- Respond to questions or complaints from employees in a timely fashion
- Maintain physical and/or digital files for employees and their documents, benefits and attendance records
- Verify timekeeping records and consult employees about any discrepancies
- Record payroll data in our software system and verify all amounts prior to cutting checks
- Collect banking information for direct deposit setup and initiate deposits on paydays
- Process and monitor garnishment orders
- Reconcile general ledger with regard to payroll transactions
- Reconcile, pay, and post benefits to the GL by 10th business day
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns
- Review monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports for accuracy
- Maintain PTO records
- Verify that all Employee Receivables are collected
