A Radiology Operations Assistant is mainly responsible for assisting the Radiology department with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, managing paperwork, answering phones, and communicating with patients and family. They are responsible for coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day schedule of operations within a radiology department and may sometimes assist the technologists. They should also have a basic knowledge of medical terminology. A radiology operations assistant needs to have strong computer skills, with knowledge of different computer applications that may be utilized in the scheduling process. They must have highly proficient verbal and written communication skills. A radiology operations assistant will also need to have strong customer service skills. This position will work closely with the Radiology Administrative team.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: The Radiology Operations Assistant is responsible for providing clerical, technical, and clinical operations support dedicated to meeting the needs of our patients, providers, and departments. They should be well-organized and possess strong communication skills, and computer literacy is a must. 70% Scheduling/Clerical work. 20% Assisting the Radiology team with any necessary duties. 10% Performing other duties and responsibilities as required.
