As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our facilities and equipment. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization by identifying and resolving maintenance issues promptly and efficiently.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field, or 2 years relevant experience.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• Familiarity of OSHA safety standards and regulations as well as ability to follow all company safety guidelines.
• Ability to work with others and receive direction.
• Ability to operate office equipment, including computers and supporting word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
• Good oral and written communication skills, basic math skills, and report writing skills.
• Works safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by adhering to all policies, procedures and training and use of company-provided resources.
• Troubleshoots work-related problems by observing operating conditions, reviewing maintenance and repair records, discussing problems with operators, reading maintenance manuals, making adjustments and repairs, and observing to verify problem solutions.
• Maintains an orderly work area throughout shift following 5-S and replacing tools when finished and discarding unusable parts and other trash and boxing up usable parts such as pumps and motors to send to vendors for repair.
• Knowledge of basic maintenance procedures and techniques, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other mechanical systems.
• Basic ability to interpret and navigate technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Familiarity with maintenance tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently, effective time management and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work on-call and during evenings, weekends, or holidays when necessary.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs various periodic safety inspections such as fire extinguishers, fire sprinkler valves, fire doors, eye wash stations and similar devices.
• Performs tasks assigned through work orders and preventive maintenance through maintenance program.
• Performs tasks in a timely and professional manner.
• Removes snow from roadways and sidewalks and performs ground maintenance work as required.
• Troubleshoots equipment and machinery failures.
• Follows all relevant safety procedures.
• Performs other related tasks as assigned
• Attends weekly shift meetings for required safety training, quality issues, and company updates
• Perform installation of new equipment.
• Service and maintenance of equipment including motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and production related equipment.
• Perform inspections, routine maintenance, safety checks and assessing the functionality of equipment.
• Communicating with production team and maintaining a clean work area.
• Preparing and submitting maintenance reports.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29.00 - $40.00 per hour
