Periodontist Dental Assistant (Part Time)

Our practice, Hyannis Dental Partners, is excited to bring on a skilled dental assistant to assist our Periodontist a few days per month. If you are an experienced Dental Assistant with a background of supporting a specialist or dentist who provides advanced surgical procedures, we'd love to connect with you!

Schedule: Thursday and Friday, every other week. (4 days / month)

Responsibilities:

• Support and Assist Periodontist chairside with clinical treatment of patients.
• Assist with documentation and the upkeep of records
• Listen, empathize and address all patient concerns.
• Provide clear communication and education on treatment plans and maintaining oral health.
• Oversee operatory set-up and clean-up, including sterilization process.

Qualifications:

• 1 years of dental assisting experience supporting a specialist or dentist performing surgical procedures.
• Well versed in dental terminology and procedures
• Maintains a positive, collaborative and supportive disposition with team and patients
• Maintain compliance with state dental practice requirements (i.e., X-ray requirements, OSHA, and CE training).
• Understands and complies with HIPAA and HITECH Act of 2009
