Job InformationThe Staff Engineer, Design is responsible for the execution of overall design, development, and integration of mechanical, structural, and thermal systems for hydrogen-based energy systems. Work within the Engineering Change Order or New Product Development process to ensure timely, controlled, and compliant design changes using standard engineering product development practices to include Pugh, FMEA, risk analyses and compliance matrixes. Utilize up-to-date design tools including CREO/Windchill, Ansys and CREO Flow structural, thermal, and CFD tools. Support multi-disciplinary research and collaboration with CSA, System, MBOP, Electrical, and Manufacturing engineers in a matrix organization to pursue and achieve business objectives, on time, at cost with optimal quality. Accountable for development, coaching and mentorship of other team members to support career development and business results elevation. Will be responsible for several components of a project, or a more complex component of a larger project as a project engineer working under a project manager.

Role & ResponsibilityJob RequirementsEducation
- BA/BS degree with 10 years of experience
- MA/MS degree with 7 years of experience
- Mechanical Engineering or related degree
- Robust process and systems understanding of complex electromechanical designs
- Pipe and Tube Welded Assemblies (1" up to 8" Pipe, Tube and Hose) (Steel and Stainless Steel)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Strong focus on teamwork and employee development
