6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
- Assist in development and implementation of Weld Standards for all products in the plant.
- Audit weld operations upon request and make corrections if necessary
- Test and certify welders
- Provide continuous improvement for welding operations in the plant.
- Ability to work cross functionally with other plant departments as required
- Ability to interact professionally with suppliers and customers is required
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in written form is required
- Fill in and weld production parts as needed to make customer orders
- Ability to assist and coordinate training development plans
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft office software preferred
- Ability to work on 2nd or 3rd shift as needed is required
- Some travel may be required
- The ability to operate Mig and Tig welders
- Prior experience working as a welder in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is required.
- Prior experience welding aluminum is required.
- Machine Operator/Heavy Press experience is a plus.
- A high school diploma is required.
- Certified Weld inspector (CWI) or attend a 2 week CWI certification course at Hobart Welding Institute.
- Candidate must pass end-of-course test
- Skills in the areas of electrical, robotics, hydraulics, costing, PLC logic, Blue Print Reading, and troubleshooting desired.
