Responsibilities: The Supplier Quality Engineer / Quality Engineer position is responsible for administering programs of surveillance, assessment, and quality system development within the supply base that contributes to the many cutting-edge products offered by Hydro-Gear.

- Administer and improve Supplier Quality Programs with responsibilities for system, process, and product audits and scorecard activity
- Validate Supplier APQP functions
- Work daily with purchasing, inspection and suppliers to resolve quality related issues; disposition non-conforming material; support buyer in providing fit for use materials
- Assure timely and effective Supplier Corrective Actions.
- Implement and maintain effective reporting system for key issues and opportunities for improvement in supplier quality performance
- Develop suppliers’ use of quality and statistical tools in problem identification and resolution
- Up to 40% of domestic and up to 5% international travel
- Preferred bachelor’s degree with minimum one-year manufacturing experience, or associate's degree with at least 3 years of manufacturing experience
- Experience with manufacture of electronics / electronic components a plus.
- Willing to travel up to 40% domestically and up to 5% internationally.
- Strong knowledge in MS Office products.
- Excellent written and spoken communications abilities.
