Starting Rate of pay : $25.72 / hour

Shifts Available and Hours : Day Shift

6 : 00 AM - 2 : 30 PM

Job Responsibilities :

• Assist in development and implementation of Weld Standards for all products in the plant.
• Audit weld operations upon request and make corrections if necessary
• Test and certify welders
• Provide continuous improvement for welding operations in the plant.
• Ability to work cross functionally with other plant departments as required
• Ability to interact professionally with suppliers and customers is required
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in written form is required
• Fill in and weld production parts as needed to make customer orders
• Ability to assist and coordinate training development plans
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft office software preferred
• Ability to work on 2nd or 3rd shift as needed is required
• Some travel may be required

Education and Experience Requirements :

• The ability to operate Mig and Tig welders
• Prior experience working as a welder in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is required.
• Prior experience welding aluminum is required.
• Machine Operator / Heavy Press experience is a plus.
• A high school diploma is required.
• Certified Weld inspector (CWI) or attend a 2 week CWI certification course at Hobart Welding Institute.
• Candidate must pass end-of-course test
• Skills in the areas of electrical, robotics, hydraulics, costing, PLC logic, Blue Print Reading, and troubleshooting desired.
