Distribution Specialist III
Location: Oceanside, CA

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm (occasional weekend work with advanced notice)

Duration: 18-Month Contract



Pay Rate Range : $31-36 per hour.



Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Distribution Specialist III to support manufacturing operations, product shipping, and material receiving. The role ensures accurate inventory and timely supply of materials for production needs, involving various functions within the Materials Management department, including receiving, kitting, and shipping.



Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in materials management operations to support the production team and internal customers.
• Manage daily warehouse tasks and monitor completion.
• Receive incoming shipments of non-GMP/GMP materials and equipment.
• Dispense and kit GMP materials for production.
• Prepare and deliver raw materials, samples, and supplies to departments, ensuring proper procedures and temperature ranges are followed.
• Maintain accurate GMP warehouse inventory.
• Perform inventory cycle counts and accurate ERP transactions.
• Monitor Kanban area for optimal replenishment of materials.
• Communicate inventory discrepancies and escalate issues when needed.
• Cross-train in all areas of warehouse operations.
• Pick, pack, and ship finished products and materials according to established policies.
• Ensure employee training is current.
• Adhere to safety procedures and GMP requirements.
• Keep warehouse operations clean and inspection-ready.
• Assist in revising area SOPs.
• Operate forklifts (certification preferred but training available).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma; some college or vocational training in science, engineering, or facilities is preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology materials management, GMP distribution/warehouse operations, manufacturing, and supply chain.
• Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to squat, bend, kneel, climb, and reach for 75% of the day.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move about for 75% of the day.
• Experience in logistics, distribution, warehousing, and supply chain preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations in GMP and non-GMP settings.
