Software Development Project Manager

12 Month Contract

100% Remote

Pay Rate - $70 - $75/Hour

As a Software Development Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of software projects within our organization. You will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initial planning and requirements gathering to execution, monitoring, and delivery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, designers, quality assurance testers, and stakeholders, to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, to ensure the successful execution of software development projects
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather and prioritize project requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of project objectives and deliverables.
• Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, including software developers, designers, and testers, to achieve project goals and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Identify potential risks and issues early in the project lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.
• Facilitate communication between team members, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure alignment on project scope, progress, and any changes in requirements.
• Monitor project budgets and resource allocations, tracking expenses and resource utilization to ensure projects are delivered within budgetary constraints.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, providing regular project updates, addressing concerns, and soliciting feedback to ensure project success and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and best practices adoption within the project management function, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of software development projects.

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience in software project management.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.).
• Proficiency in project management tools (JIRA, Trello, MS Project, etc.).
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders, clients, and team members.
• PMP or other relevant certifications preferred.
