Position: Controller (Chicagoland Area: Rolling Meadows and Downtown Chicago)

Location: This position is located in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, with the possibility of splitting time between Rolling Meadows and Downtown Chicago.

Position Type: This is a full-time, salaried position.

Position Summary: HYPERAMS is a boutique asset disposition and valuation services firm looking for qualified senior candidates that are interested in taking a leadership role within the firm. The Controller position will have a wide range of leadership responsibilities and will work directly with executive management. This role is an opportunity for a seasoned accounting and finance professional to learn and ultimately take on additional operational responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment and to play an integral role in the growth of the organization.

Position Duties: This position will direct and oversee the following functions and processes:

Financial/operational support for each of our lines of business as needed

o Serve as a partner to each of our lines of business and support the advancement of strategic goals

o Learn how each of our lines of business operates and ultimately participate in managing such lines of business

o Provide financial data to company leadership to support operational decision making

Monthly financial information for management discussion and analysis

o Closing and review of monthly financial statements

o Actual vs. Budget analysis

Quarterly financial reporting

o Providing quarterly financial statements to lenders

o Calculating quarterly financial covenants pursuant to loan documents

o Preparing borrowing base certificates needed to finance asset purchase transactions

o Prepare and present quarterly financial statements and key performance indicators to partners and executive management

Annual financial review – coordinate completion with external accounting firm

Tax planning and reporting

o Quarterly partner tax distributions

o Annual tax return coordination with external accounting firm and review

o Other planning and structuring on an as needed basis

o Sales tax compliance

Oversight of additional functions

o Treasury & Payroll

o Information Technology Compliance – in conjunction with third party managed service provider

o Human Resources

o Insurance & Risk Management

Skills/Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting;

· Experience managing employees;

· Proficiency in Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook);

· Tenacious self-starter, extremely organized and detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy;

· Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral;

· Ability to interact professionally with all levels of management, both internally and externally; and

· Ability to work both independently and within a team;
