Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, (HYMH), a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Learning and Development Specialist to lead and manage local, divisional, and / or global learning projects in our Berea, KY facility.

• Someone excited to facilitate in-person and virtual training to obtain measurable results that improve the learners’ skills, knowledge, and competencies.

What you will do :

Performance Consulting

• Partners with HR Business partners, business leaders, subject matter experts, and Learning and Development team. Conducts needs analysis focused on understanding business requirements and organizational environment to determine critical skills.
• Builds learning interventions for on-line and in-person platforms to solve key performance gaps.

Instructional Design and Development

• Collaborates with other Learning and Development Specialists on design, development, delivery, and continuous improvement of training programs and materials.
• Creates content outlines, on-line or in-person course materials, facilitator guides, and supporting resource documents.
• Standardizes, simplifies, and improves efficiencies and effectiveness of learning.

• Utilizes technology to boost the transfer of knowledge for blended learning environments.
• Obtains measurable results.
• Ensures curriculum is tracked and maintained in appropriate system.

What you will need :

• Bachelor’s degree in Adult Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or related field.
• 1-2 years in Production / Manufacturing environment supporting learning and development for salaried and hourly employees, preferred.
• Previous training creation and facilitation experience required.
• Certification in recognized leadership development programs such as Franklin Covey, Ken Blanchard, DDI etc. content, preferred.
• Experience with Workday Learning or other Learning Management Systems Preferred
• Advanced ability with standard Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required.
• Other software skills a plus (MS Teams, WebEx, SharePoint Designer, Illustrator, lnDesign, Photoshop, Articulate Storyline).

Skills, Experience & Abilities :

• Strong communication, presentation, and customer service skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Instructional design experience
• Project Management experience
