We are actively seeking a highly talented Sr. Manager of Procurement & Supply Chain to join the Hyzon Team. You Will:
We are actively seeking a highly talented Sr. Manager of Procurement & Supply Chain to join the Hyzon Team. In this role which reports to the Sr. Director Global Procurement, you will be responsible for sourcing of components and sub-assemblies as related to all vehicle and Fuel Cell / battery technologies. Working cross functionally, you will support all NPD and production related activities for the Hyzon vehicles manufactured in North America and globally. With responsibility for purchasing and logistics,
You Will:
- Help establish and manage Hyzon’s Supply base to ensure the best Suppliers are selected to support all development, prototyping and production activity
- Lead all RFP/RFQ activities for your respective area and clearly communicate Hyzon’s expectations
- Work with Purchasing team and related departments to develop and improve internal procurement processes
- Lead the development of purchasing team and Supply Chain KPI’s
- Lead all contractual discussions with suppliers (Supply Agreements/NDAs/Terms and conditions/SOWs)
- Thoroughly negotiate favorable contracts including parts pricing, tooling costs and Engineering Services (NRE/EDT)
- Analyze supplier proposals and negotiate all aspects of the quotation to drive down the total cost of ownership and ensure world class pricing
- Recommend and effectively present status, sourcing and spend discussions to leadership, for multiple programs that meet the business objectives and timelines
- Build relationships across multiple teams (Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality) and work across different levels in the organization to ensure program timelines are achieved
- Monitor current category market conditions, technology roadmaps and identify supply/demand challenges & opportunities
- Support the efforts of supplier quality team for supplier development, qualification, and quality issue resolution
- Have responsibility for logistics to include shipping/receiving
- Develop systems to support a new ERP implementation
- Minimum of 10 years of broad-based supply chain experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance or Engineering is a plus
- Hands-on global purchasing experience to include China
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and experience sourcing of some of the following: Controllers, fuel cells, battery technologies, wire harnesses, machined and casted parts, plastic injection molded parts, stamped parts fasteners and thermal and cooling system parts
- Knowledge of six sigma and lean concepts
- Experience reading technical drawings, data sheets, fab drawing, BOMs and all related engineering files
- New Product Introduction experience in small to mid-sized companies is a plus
- Experience working in heavy truck, Automotive, Commercial Vehicle, or an Electric Vehicle Start-up is a plus
- Ability for Global Travel as needed – 25%
