Job Description
ROLE
The Manager, Corporate Operations assists the EVP with the management of all corporate functional areas by expediting clear communication with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring adherence to stated objectives and priorities, and driving accountability. The Manager, Corporate Operations will serve as a key point of contact for legal matters at the Company. As a representative of the EVP, the Manager, Corporate Operations must maintain the highest level of confidentiality and diplomacy regarding all Company matters.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Organize the flow of information to and from the EVP’s office and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Create and maintain tracking reports for corporate areas, as directed, and follow up as needed.
  • Plan, coordinate,and ensure that the EVP’s schedule is thoughtfully and effectively constructed with an eye to supporting expressed priorities.
  • Provide a “gatekeeper” and “gateway” role, creating win-win situations for access to the EVP’s time and attention.
  • Prepare the EVP for meetings by providing preparatory information. Research, prioritize, and manage responses to incoming correspondence and requests.
  • Provide a bridge for smooth communication between the EVP and internal teams, demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility, trust, and support with employees.
  • Review contracts, leases, proposals, and other business documents and mark-up and/or edit, as needed.
  • Draft, edit and/or proofread company policies, manuals, agreements, and internal and external communications on behalf of EVP.
  • Interface with external attorneys, accountants, recruiters, insurance brokers, consultants, and other vendors.
  • Review invoices and prepare expense reports for EVP.
  • Manage business licenses and home improvement contractor’s licenses for all entities.
  • Provide administrative support to EVP, coordinating meetings, preparing correspondence, etc.
  • Ensure standards are met on external facing Company documents and assist with the “Quality Control” process when needed.
  • Collaborate with CEO’s EA, HR Director, Controller, and other senior leaders to implement corporate initiatives.
  • Conduct research and analysis on various matters and draft incisive summaries, as directed by EVP.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Candidates with backgrounds/experience in Business Operations or Administration, Legal Support, Contracts Administration, Office Management, or Executive Administration/Support preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred.
  • Excellent writing skills for a wide variety of internal and external constituents at multiple levels.
  • Works effectively both independently and as part of dynamic, cross-functional team(s).
  • Effectively manages ever-changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while meeting quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
  • Experience drafting corporate policies, governance-related documents, legal and business correspondence; proven ability to read, understand and analyze contractual terms strongly preferred.
  • Common sense/real-world problem-solving capabilities and the application of business acumen to everyday issues and challenges, including high integrity and discretion in managing confidential and sensitive information.
  • Proactive, curious, resourceful and “can do” approach to recognizing needs, identifying gaps, framing issues, and identifying and recommending solutions.
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); Visio is a plus.
  • General “tech-savvy-ness” and experience with databases/spreadsheets.
  • Strong leadership qualities: thoughtful tone towards appropriate audience, strategically thinks through potential risks, self-assured in taking ethical action.
  • Approaches problem-solving tactfully and with critical thinking.
  • Superb attention to detail, time management and organizational capabilities with proven ability to meet deadlines.
Compensation:
$80,000-$115,000 annually.
