Engineering Services Manager

We are a leading manufacturer of Stone Plastic Composite flooring. Our facility in Northwest Georgia is seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineering Services Manager. The Services Manager will be responsible for overseeing all engineering and maintenance aspects of the manufacturing process. This role involves leading a team of engineers and technicians, managing projects, and ensuring the optimal performance of production equipment and systems.

Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering and maintenance teams.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, collaboration, and open communication.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.

Project Management:

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee engineering projects from inception to completion ensure within scope, and budget.
  • Manage large-scale capital projects, facility expansions, equipment upgrades, and major system implementations.
  • Develop project plans, allocate resources, and monitor project progress.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Execute projects that drive key performance indicator (KPI) improvements.

Technical Expertise:

  • Utilize AutoCAD for designing, modifying, and analyzing engineering plans.
  • Implement and maintain PLC systems to optimize production processes.
  • Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting expertise as needed.

Optimization and Improvement:

  • Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement process optimization strategies
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in SPC flooring technology.

Equipment Maintenance:

  • Ensure maintenance and reliability of all manufacturing equipment and systems.
  • Lead maintenance team to oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Implement predictive maintenance strategies to anticipate and prevent equipment failures.

Safety:

  • Ensure compliance to relevant safety regulations, standards, and company policies.
  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, MBA or equivalent advanced degree desirable.
  • 7-10 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven project management, with successfully managing complex projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with PLC systems.
  • Experience with CMMS.
  • Hands-on with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Experience in leading maintenance teams and ensuring equipment reliability.
  • Proven record of executing projects that drive KPI improvements.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with predictive maintenance strategies is essential.
