Natasha Ewa owner / CEO of the small expanding outpatient therapy practice, I-Thrive Therapy and Wellness, is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and communicative individual to join the team (must reside in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, USA for this hybrid position).

I-Thrive Therapy and Wellness is seeking a passionate individual with ethically, creative clinical interventions who believes in the mission of providing services through an ethical, emotional, and behaviorally in-tune practice.

In this therapist role, you will work directly with clients, to address their mental health needs including but not limited to mood disorders, health crises, self-esteem issues, interpersonal relationship concerns, communication issues, workplace stressors, PTSD, racial PTSD, anxiety, loss and bereavement, career choice and changes, anger and stress management, and more!

This role requires someone who enjoys working closely with people from all backgrounds, is a self-leader but also an active team player, and additionally understands the importance of documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete intake assessments for potential clients seeking mental health treatment
• Conduct regular scheduled appointments with clients to meet treatment needs
• Establish positive rapport and trusting therapeutic relationships
• Administer various treatment interventions using clinically proven and culturally competent modalities to provide guidance and appropriately address the client's personalized goals
• Continually assess the client's mental and emotional needs
• Provide Psycho-education when needed.
• Involve family members or other loved ones in the treatment process when appropriate to the client's healing and treatment process
• Record and maintain adequate session notes in a timely manner
• When client needs are outside the company's scope of practice, referring clients to outside sources who can better address their specific needs
• Maintain the strictest confidentiality practice of every client
• Maintain client rights and responsibilities
• Maintain all required licenses and the appropriate malpractice insurance
• Meet for supervision monthly

Requirements and Qualifications

• Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LPC, PsyD)
• 1 years of clinical experience, ideally working directly with clients of all ages
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to actively listen
• Solid relationship-building skills
• Effective problem-solving skills
• A positive and compassionate attitude
• Attentive to detail
• Ability to manage time and prioritize job needs
• Willingness to stay updated on new treatments, protocols, and licensure requirements within the field
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Willingness to work with all populations is strongly preferred
• Fluent in a second language - not a requirement but a plus

License/Certification:

• LCSW
• LPC
• PsyD - licensed only

More and more clients are seeking human connection and so with this position, you will be expected to meet with some clients in person and some virtually / telehealth.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $41.40 - $53.50 per hour

Expected hours: 22 – 30 per week
