Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the overall accounting functions of the organization.
Duties
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks and Xero
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries
- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Support the preparation of financial reports and statements
- Assist with general ledger accounting tasks
- Utilize 10 key typing skills for data entry accuracy
Experience
- Prior experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles preferred
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, and other accounting software
- Knowledge of financial concepts and principles
- Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries
- Experience with bank reconciliation processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
