OSP Project manager

Fairfax, VA(hybrid)

Contract

Targeted Years of Experience: 3-5 years Responsibilities: * Develop and maintain project schedules and calendars with the input from assigned OSP engineers * Facilitate team meetings, providing meeting minutes and action items where needed * Build strong communication channels with internal stakeholders in various departments: Sales, OSP Engineering (In-Franchise and Out of Franchise), Network Program Management, Operations, etc. * Track tasks assigned to the project team and prepare regular status reports * Responsible for tracking project changes and producing updated schedules * Tracks budget * Gather and report performance measurement of on-going progress. * Ensure smooth communication within the project team and other cross-functional teams * Interface with internal/external stakeholders on a regular basis

MUST HAVE SKILLS: * Understanding of Outside Plant (OSP) engineering and/or construction or experience in the field * Background in project management in a field related to civil, environmental, or utility construction * Ability to clearly articulate expectations and drive success. DESIRED SKILLS: * Organization and the ability to multi-task is a must * Experience with MS Office suite of apps * Experience with AutoCAD and/or Visio EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: Coursework in programs associated with project management, Outside Plant Engineering, and a PMPO certification a plus.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $42.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:

• OSP: 5 years (Preferred)
• civil environmental or utility construction: 3 years (Preferred)
• Verizon: 2 years (Preferred)
• Project management: 5 years (Preferred)
• AutoCAD and/or Visio: 1 year (Preferred)
