JOB TITLE: Reseller Accounting Manager

JOB LOCATION: Nashville, TN - This is not a remote position

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

To support the SVP Finance and Controller as well as the President of Enterprise Solutions in developing and carrying out the responsibilities of the Reseller Finance / Accounting Department at i3 Verticals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Handle full-cycle GL accounting including journal entries, accruals and account reconciliations
• Manage junior team members
• Prepare ad-hoc analysis of accounts as requested
• Handle Accounts Payable, Billing and Accounts Receivable functions for specified subsidiaries
• Audit contracts, orders, and vouchers, confirming compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures prior to financial entries
• Set-up Projects, as directed, in accounting software in accordance with current standards.
• Monitor project progress to include identifying overages in hours and reviewing invoices for accuracy.
• Build and maintain cross-functional relationships within the reseller business segment, including accounting, sales, professional services, engineering and leadership.
• Assist with financial reporting and budget preparations, including balance sheet and income statement analysis
• Significant independent month-end close oversight responsibilities
• Critically think through processes and implement best practices in a SOX compliant environment
• Assist in onboarding newly acquired companies and instituting i3’s accounting policies and controls at the new locations
• Support management on strategic and tactical special projects as they arise
• Assist in forecasting individual entities and providing inputs to the consolidated forecast
• Assist in providing quality financial analysis to operational managers based on a thorough understanding of each of our business segments

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, or a bachelor’s degree in business with emphasis in accounting is required
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in an accounting function
• Strong preference to CPAs and public accounting experience
• Must have experience with SEC financial reporting and SOX compliance
• Strong preference for candidates with reseller accounting experience, and particularly with experience with Hyland OnBase
• Experience in Intacct and Workiva is a plus
• Strong level of organization with excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must have the capability to research complex topics and synthesize them into clear professional writing
• Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research variances and trends
• High degree of attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to work calmly in a fast-paced team environment while effectively managing multiple projects and individuals
• Must have a team-player mindset
