What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Processor II position at IAP Worldwide Services, Inc?
As the Accounts Payable Processor II, you will, under general supervision, be responsible for accounts payable daily activities. The activities include items such as receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices and processing payments.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Process Vendor Invoices or Reclasses as assigned.
- Verifies and posts entries, comparing system reports to balances. Prepare payments including Checks, ACHs and Wires.
- Files all vendor activities (new files, paid invoices, and POs).
- Audits Manual checks, voids, wires and ACHs.
- Issues stop-payments for outstanding checks.
- Research and Reconcile Outstanding Vendor Invoices or Statements.
- Resolves purchase order, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos.
- Pays employees by receiving and verifying expense reports and requests for advances.
- Prepare Month/Year End Reconciliations.
- Assists in Month End and Year End close.
- Prepares and generates 1099s.
- Reconcile bank statements monthly.
- Update policies and procedures with any changes and improvements.
- Audit Travel Expense Reports both manual and in Concur to follow the GSA, JTR and FTR guidelines.
- Participates in Monthly or Yearly audit Activities (Internal and External)
- Maintain historical records by electronically filing documents.
- May assist or train personnel on AP processes.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
- AA/AS or BA/BS degree with major in Accounting is desired.
- Experience with an ERP system such as Costpoint
- Concur Travel experience preferred
- Require two (2) to three (3) years’ experience in general accounting, preferably in an Accounts Payable environment.
- Knowledge of FAR and Government Contracting is preferrable
- Must be able to pass a security background check
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Must have a basic proficiency in WORD, EXCEL, and Outlook.
- Must possess analytical skills.
