Nursing care delivered complies with the objectives and policies of the hospital utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Prepares equipment and assists physician during treatments and examination of patients. Assists in planning, supervising and instructing Nursing Assistants. May be needed to work beyond the regular tour of duty or in another patient care unit as assigned by department head or nursing supervisor. Answers telephones in a prompt and courteous manner. Displays concern and provides assistance or explains procedures as appropriate to callers or in face-to-face situations.
