IAT Insurance Group has an immediate opening for an Associate Account Manager (Underwriting Support) within our Moving & Storage segment located in one of our following offices :

• Rolling Meadows, Illinois
• Naperville, Illinois
• Alpharetta, Georgia

This role will provide overall day-to-day customer service and support to underwriters and will act as a liaison between the organization and agents, working closely with both entities to ensure client needs are being met.

This role works a hybrid schedule from an IAT Office in Rolling Meadows, IL, Naperville, IL, or Alpharetta, GA. The hybrid schedule reflects our values (thinking and acting like an owner, collaboration, and teamwork) as it requires working from the office with colleagues and other disciplines Monday through Wednesday, with the option of working Thursday and Friday remotely.

Responsibilities :

• Enters new and renewal business into proprietary rating systems.
• Prepares account service-related documents such as proposals and other client communications and correspondence.
• Assists in renewal process, reviewing for accuracy and making requested renewal changes.
• Processes endorsements and audit transactions through communication with agents and underwriters.
• Reviews all company correspondence to ensure applicability to client needs.
• Maintains account files in accordance with established procedures
• Establishes and maintains good working relationships with underwriters and agents.
• Creates and / or provides feedback on project timelines.
• Answers and processes internal information requests.
• May participate and prepare for pre-renewal meetings.
• Prepares and audits various monthly reports.
• Volunteers and participates in projects / assignments as representative for Operations.
• Improves / refines professional skills through continuing education and maintaining familiarity with industry trends and standards.
• Assists in training of other employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications : Must-Have :

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Equivalent is defined as having 4 years of relevant insurance experience.
• Minimum of 2 years providing customer support or customer service.
• Strong keyboarding skills.
• Strong PC skills required.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills used for interaction with all levels of associates and / or external sources in a variety of settings.
• Must be detail and action oriented.
• Ability to work in fast-paced and deadline-driven production environment.
• Ability to organize, set and maintain priorities.
• To qualify, applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require VISA sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment purposes.

Preferred to Have :

• Associates Degree
• Underwriting support experience
• Knowledge of Underwriting support processes and procedures, basic mathematics and problem-solving techniques
