The BioMedical Engineering and Imaging Institute (BMEII) at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (https://icahn.mssm.edu/research/bmeii) is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) to work on a highly innovative NIH/NHLBI funded Grant (1R01HL172363-01A1 PI: Zahi Fayad) entitled Advanced multi-parametric 18F-FDG PET and MRI imaging parameters of response to immune suppressant therapy in patients with active cardiac sarcoidosis.

Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI), the Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) will serve as a liaison between research participants and other faculty/study staff members to perform duties related to the support and coordination of clinical research studies.

Job Description

1. Conducts routine and standardized human subjects research using appropriate research or interview techniques specific to subject matter of the research project, under direct supervision of the Principal Investigator or senior clinical research staff.

2. Assists in the activities related to clinical research including, but not limited to: obtaining informed consent, screening participants for eligibility, registering patients with sponsoring agencies, administering questionnaires and answering telephone calls.

3. Assists in the collection, analysis and review of experimental data for publication and presentation.

4. Maintains source documents and subject files in accordance with Mount Sinai policies and procedures. Ensures accurate, confidential and complete compilation of data.

5. May secure and ship clinical specimens as required by the protocol.

6. May assist in the preparation for regulatory agency site visits.

7. Performs other related duties

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelors degree in science or related field preferred or a combination of relevant research experience and education
• 0-2 years of Training/experience in the conduct of clinical research trials in an academic research environment is a plus

• Knowledge of Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) 

Compensation Statement

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
