Unique opportunity for an experienced clinical assistant to join our orthodontic team. Icon Orthodontics is looking to expand our team at our privately owned practices in Surprise and Glendale, Arizona. We are a growing company with multiple locations. We offer competitive pay ($22-$26/hour) and are looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience.

As a clinical assistant, you would assist the doctor with patient care. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):

o Cleaning and preparation of units/chairs before each patient.

o Greet and seat patients, never leaving a seated patient unattended.

o Anticipate and assist the orthodontist’s needs at all times.

o Charting of patient procedures to include charges (if applicable), procedure and length of time for next visit.

o Dismissal of patient and explanation of procedure to parent with review of progress.

Minimum 5 years of orthodontic assisting experience preferred. Candidate must be able to travel between Surprise and Glendale.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

o Radiographs certification to include panoramic, cephalometric film

o Placement and removal of separator

o Checking all patient appliances prior to adjustment or wire changes

o Intraoral and extraoral photographs

o Changing arch wires or elastic ties

o Deliver retainers and other removable appliances.

o Adjustment of removable appliances

o Banding and bonding procedures

o Debanding/debonding procedures

o Removal of bonding materials

o Documentation of all communication and procedures in patient chart

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
